What better city to invest in, than one that drives substantial tourism and is home to one of Canada’s most prolific attractions? This project will be developed by Evertrust Development Group Canada Inc.

This upcoming development is headed to the City of Welland, Ontario. Upper Vista On The Welland Canal Condos will be in the Niagara Region, which is in close proximity to Niagara Falls, which is know to be a tourism centric city.

The two-tower site is set to span 3.75 acres, making it a substantial addition that will set the tone for further urbanization of this up and coming area. Upper Vista On the Welland Canal towers will be created in two phases, one for the creation of Building A, the other for Building B. Both mid-rise buildings will stand 5 storeys tall and shared amenity space, and boast over 100 units each.

The scenic premises is set to feature a walking path, which is ideal for a stroll with family, friends, children or your significant area.

Residents will also be able to enjoy a waterfront dock view on walks around the property.

Amenities at Upper Vista are grand lobby with concierge, pet wash station, lounge, cyber cafe, party room with kitchen, media room, indoor and outdoor fitness area, grocery store on ground floor retail, outdoor watercraft storage facility, covered outdoor terrace with dining and lounge area.

Location & Neighbourhood

This region is perfect for those who love the outdoors, as there are plenty of local amenities fit for those with a passion for hiking. A wide variety of nature trails and parks surround the site, not limited to Baden Powell Park, Bond Lake Park, and Charnwood Park. There are also many conservation areas nearby, like the Rockway Conservation Area and Cave Springs Conservation Area.

This development will be attractive to students attending some of the area’s prominent schools, such as Brock University, Georgian College and Niagara College. This is the ideal place to invest not only for those downsizing or moving to a quieter neighbourhood, as plenty of out of town students will also be looking to live near their campus.

Welland specifically is pretty centrally located within Niagara, as it offers easy transit via Niagara Region Transit -- a simple bus will connect residents with Niagara Falls and St. Catherines.

It is also important to note that Welland is driving distance to a lot of Ontario’s prime areas. The site is 25 minutes away from Hamilton, and a reasonable hour and 10 minutes drive away from Toronto. It is also a mere 12 minute drive to Buffalo, ideal for outlet shopping for those who want to stock up on a variety of retailers for a great price.

Central Niagara Falls is only 15 minutes away, meaning that the touristic Clifton Hill with its countless restaurants and activities are incredibly close by for weekend activities or site seeing with visiting friends or family. This strip also includes a casino, indoor waterpark, Niagara Skywheel and Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.

Nearby Welland Ontario is the quaint Niagara On The Lake, which tends to attract a lot of out of town visitors or tourists. The strip boasts theatres with regular shows that tend to bring in a lot of people, as does the scenic surroundings and charming restaurants. Speaking of the shows, Shaw Festival is a regular event that tends to drive a lot of traffic to the community, as the event puts on a wide variety of well known shows in the elaborate theatres of the area.

The Niagara Region also has various shopping options with malls and outlets, such as Boulevard Mall, Canada One Factory outlets and Fairview Mall.

However, you need not travel for entertainment, as sites like the king Street Bridge, Welland Canal, South Niagara Rowing Club and Welland International Flatwater Centre are all in the area. Headed to the neighbourhood includes a new courthouse (Welland POA Court House), expansions of Niagara College, and a new General Electric gas-engine plant. This plant is projected to bring at least 150 new jobs to the area.

This is truly a city that encourages relaxation -- considering it also offers many spas. When you think of how many people travel from the city to enjoy these luxuries, imagine living among it all. The region has long been a tourism centre but with an increasing amount of developments coming up in the area, we can expect to see more people setting roots.
